I fish for Rainbow Trout in a big creek, and I was there a few days ago, but wasn’t getting any bites. We tried spinners, jigs, and artificial worms, but nothing was working. It was from about 6 pm to dusk. We would run the bait right by them but they just wouldn’t bite. So I guess I have 2 questions. 1) What is the best time to fish for Rainbow Trout? and 2) What is the best bait to catch wild Rainbow Trout in their natural environment? Thanks.

youre bait is fine and so is your timing. sometimes its just luck of the draw. perseverance will win over the fish though!
