India has never had any world class bowlers in its entire history .. Agree or Disagree ?? ..?

Even Anil Kumble was not a world class bowler .. He was a good bowler but not world class like , say , Shane Warne or Muttiah Muralitharan .. Some of you might say statistics give only half the picture , but i believe that half cannot be altogether ignored .. Kumble has a bowling average of over 28 ( in tests ) .. 619 wickets in 132 matches , wickets on all surfaces etc etc but not good enough to be called world class .. Not that many wickets abroad probably apart from Australia .. Murali ( best off-spinner ) , Warne ( best leg-spinner ) , Wasim Akram ( best left-arm bowler ever ) , Glenn McGrath ( Accuracy Inc. ) are examples of world class bowlers , especially the first three .. look at their bowling averages , all below 25 .. Harbhajan Singh , outside of India is average at best and a joke at worst .. Ishant Sharma has not played enough cricket to be mentioned but i have mentioned him nevertheless because he has the talent .. As of now , Ishant is still growing as a player .. Zaheer Khan , yeah , is a good bowler , often underestimated like his predecessor Javagal Srinath .. But Zaheer and Srinath == not world class ..
Go back in time to the days of Prasanna , Bishen Singh Bedi and co. , i feel even they were not good enough to be called world class .. Now , having seen the term ‘world class’ so many times , you might ask ‘What is world class ?’ .. I’ll tell you : the bowler should have played at least 40 tests , picked up wickets at an average of 4.25 wickets or higher , bowling average of under 25 , wickets on all types of surfaces , five-wicket hauls ( innings ) and ten-wicket hauls ( match ) etc etc .. Coming to the last point ( five wicket haul ) , do you know Simon Katich , a part-time Aussie bowler has a 6 wicket haul ( innings ) in test matches .. Who among the current Indian bowlers has such figures apart from Harbhajan ?? .. Probable answer : none .. Also , Kapil Dev was the only genuine all rounder India has ever had .. Kapil Dev belonged to the quartet of cricket’s bets all rounders ever .. The quartet comprised of : Kapil Dev , Ian Botham , Imran Khan , Richard Hadlee ( not in any order ) .. So , i think it would be better not to classify Kapil Dev as a bowler only ..

People , do read the points i have made before answering .. Again , no need to leave any hateful comments ..
@Albert : You are a most deluded Indian cricket fan .. Read again , Kapil Dev == World class all rounder , not World class bowler .. Why don’t you find out his figures in bowling ?? .. Kapil Dev definitely averages over 25 in bowling .. Same again for Bishen Singh Bedi and co. .. Oh , they were good bowlers but World Class ?? .. Nah !! .. Check it up .. I am a fan too , but i am not blind to our faults

Who’s the best spin bowler ever? Muttiah Muralitharan or Shane Warne?

Murali was accused of throwing the ball but because of the fact that he has a double jointed wrist he proved the critics wrong!
Murali has the record of 800 Test wickets whereas Warney has just over 700 Test wickets! Both brilliant bowlers but who would you choose to be the best ever spinner?

Chosen Answer:

Murali by a country mile~

Not only his TEST record ,even in ODIs
Don`t forget Murali has 530 ODI wkts too (Compared to Warne`s 290)

WISDEN too named Murali as the greatest ever..

& WISDEN never said Warne is better than Murali..
True that once they picked Warne over Murali & Sachin but it was in yr 2000 !
Murali & Sachin achieved a lot after that..

Not only WISDEN ,even cricinfo website & past cricketers like Viv Richards,Garfield Sobers,V.Sehwag,Rahul Dravid,Arjuna,Tony & even Aussies like Steve Waugh has said Murali is the best ever

Stats too prove that..
When you compoare the two,

Murali have a more wkts(in less matches !)better bowling avrg, economy rate, more 5 wit hauls, more 10 wkt hauls, better best bowling performance in both forms of cricket.

But some Aussies say Murali has taken his wkts against Zim & Bangla

now that too is a lie
Even if you compare the stats against top 8 teams only,

Still Murali has a better bowling avrg, economy rate, more 5 wit hauls, more 10 wkt hauls, better best bowling performance in both forms of cricket !!!

+Warne played most of his matches against Eng & WI but Murali played most of his matches against IND & Pak who play the spinners better than any other team.

Also Warne had the luxury of having great bowlers like Mcgrath,Gillepse& Lee at the other end.
Normally they get rid of the top order & Warne has to bow to the later middle or low order batsmen.
SO you expect him to have at least a better average if he is that good.BUT Still Murali has the better bowling average !

So there is NO ARGUMENT…Murali is the GREATEST EVER ~

who is best off spinner in the world?

Chosen Answer:

Do you need an answer for this question.
It is definitely MUTTIAH MURILATHARAN.He has won so many matches for Sri Lanka single handedly.Nobody has won so many matches for his team.
He has most variations in bowling in this world. He can spin the ball even on a glass surface. The distance his bowl turns is awesome.
He is definitely the greatest off spinner of all time.

Name the best spinner produced by England?

Australia – Shane Warne
India – Anil Kumble
Sri Lanka – Muttiah Muralidharan
Who is the best from England?

Chosen Answer:

For me it’s Derek Underwood

He was a left-arm spinner, with deadly accuracy. Underwood was the King of exposing uncovered pitches. He didn’t spin the ball a great deal, but like Daniel Vettori he used little variations of pace and bowling with great intelligence.

His record of 297 wickets is the most by far of any English spinner, and the 297 wickets came at a very respectable average of 25.
