Does anyone know have Spinner Bowling advice?

I want to learn how to bowl with the “spinner” technique. Does anyone know a good website with lots of help? Or, does anyone just know about it and can tell me anything, like what type of ball would be best? I know the weight should be around 11-12 pounds, but is any plastic ball ok? I’ve been searching google for a while now, but I can barely find anything very useful…

Is Daniel Vettori the best Left Arm Orhtodox spinner ever?

In today’s game of Cricket, I think we are missing Quality left arm bowlers.Left arm orthodox bowlers gets a lot of drift and spin and it’s wonderful to watch them bowl.
We are missing this traditional old style of bowling and very few rarely bowls well the left arm orthodox. The two guys who comes to my mind as really good currently are Daniel Vettori and Shakib al Hasan.
Especially Daniel Vettori I think bowls pretty well and uses conditions and gets a lot of drift. How many of you agree with it?
Is he the best of this style of bowling ever, with regards to consistency?
sorry.It’s Orthodox.

Chosen Answer:

Yes, because he is more known for his flight. His bowling varies and really hard to predict as it spins a lot.
This is one of the reasons why he got so many wickets. His bowl turns sharply and after bouncing and that lacks in other bowlers. As he is playing for 12 years he has got more variations than we can imagine. Just like Kumble, if you hit him twice for six then next ball will get wicket, same with Vettori.

As he uses fingers he can get dot balls in test matches and frustrate the batsmen, as later goes for big shots he gets out. You remember Kamran Amal’s dismissal in first test this year?

Zimbabwe’s Ray Price and I guess Shakib Al Hasan do the same kind of bowling. Indians might be knwoing Murali Karthik (that style guy, KKR, he does same bowling)

And also most bowlers are right handed so easy to predict but Dan is lefty so after Chaminda Vaas of SL, he is highest wicket taker as well.

In current scenario if Shakib Al hasan plays like for 12 years or more and gets more matches then he can also bowl like Dan, others that can do so are Monty Panesar but he plays too less, Jayasurya (about to retire), Rangana Herath, Paul Harris.

Who do chucker’s like Muralidharan and Malinga still play cricket?

why hasn’t the ICC banned them yet for cheating. Why can’t they bowl like Michael Clarke and Brad Hodge, the two best spinner’s in the last decade?
@Furiouso We australian’s are always right,do not question the God’s of cricket!

What is the best field set up for an off spinner?

What is the most suitable field set up for an off spinner in a limited over game (20 to 50 over game)

Chosen Answer:

Depends on if the track is a turner and what your usual line of attack is. If you bowl an offstump line with the ball turning in a smidgeon, I would recommend the following with the 9 fielders available to you (10th being the WK, 11th being you):

1) First slip (for the one that goes straight on)
2) Short 3rd man
3) Fine leg
4) Long on
5) Long off
6) Midwicket
7) Point 8) Backward point
9) Short extra cover

Indoor Cricket tips greatly needed, 10 points best answer!?

Hi

I am going to play my first indoor cricket game tomorrow and really want to win :)

What are some tips for indoor cricket that’s different to outdoor cricket?

I can bowl any type. What style is best? Spinner or Fast?

With fast bowling, they might get a better chance to hit a 4 but with slow bowling, they have to create their own pace….

What do you think?

And also when you bat, how should you try to score runs? Go for singles or smash 4/6′s? You and your partner only bat for 4 overs anyway….

Also should I pitch the ball up in chance of yorking batsmen or should i bounce it short in hope of a catch?
So Liam by your advice, I’ll ball good to short length and bat using a straight drive for 4′s. Slogs are a stupid way to get boundaries when you can just simply do a frontfoot or backfoot drive.

who is best off spinner in the world?

Chosen Answer:

Do you need an answer for this question.
It is definitely MUTTIAH MURILATHARAN.He has won so many matches for Sri Lanka single handedly.Nobody has won so many matches for his team.
He has most variations in bowling in this world. He can spin the ball even on a glass surface. The distance his bowl turns is awesome.
He is definitely the greatest off spinner of all time.

Who is best spinner Murali or Shane warn?

In my opinion Shane warn much better bowler then the Murali, because 1) he bowl leg spin as we know bowling leg spin very difficult the the Offspin
2) His record alwys consistene whethever he played at home or Away, does not relie on the pitch.
3) His bowling action very clear unlike Murali who throw the ball means illegal action.

Are you agree with me or not? please answer in detail if possible.

Chosen Answer:

I think Shane hold upper hand because he doesn’t allow any body to comment on his bowling action whereas in case of Murli question are raised quiet regularly. Due to him ICC make 15 degree rule to bend the arm at the point of delivery.

It done to fix Murali in the scheme of legal bowling no doubt about his ability but he created controversy

Do you consider Shane Warne as the best spinner the game has ever seen.?

Chosen Answer:

Of course he is the best spinner in the history of cricket. He is one of the few match-winners that can win you a match single-handedly. If the game is slipping away from you, you just need to hand the bowl to him and he will do wonders. In comparison with Muraltharan I would say that, yes he is also a great off-spinner, but please just take out the wickets he has taken in Colombo, then you will know it. And please, can anyone ask Murali why doesn´t he bowl during the Power-Plays?………….. secondly (2ndly), Shane Warne hardly played a game against minnows carrying a Test-Status in their bags. And of course I love his style! The time he used take before bowling a delivery to set field, and even if the fielder is on the right place, he would ask him to move a bit forward………… backward again after the next delivery. He always looked like a King whenever on-field. He also used to clap after being hit for a six. He always loved challenges. Unfortunately I couldn´t get to see much of him.
